Carol J. Surma, P.C. Of Counsel

In 1978, Carol graduated cum laude from Marygrove College with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Business Administration. She attended the Detroit College of Law, where she earned her Juris Doctor in 1982. Since then, she has concentrated her practice in the area of estate planning, specifically, the creation of trusts and wills. She also has extensive practice in probate law, dealing with Elder law, guardianships, conservatorships and decedent's Estates throughout Circuit and Probate Courts in Southeastern Michigan. In addition, she handles residential real estate and individual income tax matters, as related to trusts and estates.

Carol is a member of the State Bar of Michigan in the Probate and Estate Planning section. She is one of a select group of attorneys who have completed the Certificate Program in Probate & Estate Planning from the Institute of Continuing Legal Education.
